“Sterile” is a word any studio can put on its website. Writing it costs nothing. So we built it in a way that means you do not have to take our word for it.
What happens after your appointment
Every instrument that touched your nails goes into reprocessing after the appointment. Sterilising happens in runs, not one piece at a time. Each run gets a serial number, and we record which devices were used.
What comes out of a run is packed individually. Each pouch gets its own code and a label carrying that code as a QR code. The pouch stays closed until it is needed at an appointment.
The code on the label
The code is not merely a number someone could copy. Each pouch carries a signature that is checked on our server against our public key. Only we hold the matching private key. A label that did not come from us fails that check.
Scan the code — or type it into the proof page — and you see:
- when this pouch was sterilised,
- how long it stays valid,
- whether it has already been used, and if so, when.
If it is past its date, the page says so plainly. It does not show “in order”, it shows “expired”.
Once, and not twice
When a pouch is opened at an appointment, we set it to “used” and attach it to that exact appointment. It cannot be assigned a second time; the software simply refuses. So what the proof page shows is more than “was sterilised at some point” — it is “was opened for this appointment”.
What the page reveals about you
Nothing you would have to sign in for. The proof page asks you nothing and wants no account. If the pouch has been used, a shortened name appears — full personal details are not handed out. All that is recorded is that a code was checked.
What we do not claim
We show you our own records, with a number and a date, and they are fixed before your appointment begins. That is not a seal of approval from an outside body, and we do not pretend otherwise. The difference from a nice sentence on a website is still considerable: you can look it up.
